Those of us who aren't early church scholars don't get access to this kind of scholarship in its raw form. Thank you for your persistence with acade-blogging. She is mentioned, as you know, in various layers of tradition in Gospels and Acts and so may be presumed to have had continuing influence on this teaching among first Christians.PAULYRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13958421646805026598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6536854065433425156.post-41385225012771760002009-06-09T14:31:44.949-07:002009-06-09T14:31:44.949-07:00Messiah is Coming...Are YOU Prepared?
Shalom,
I ...Messiah is Coming...Are YOU Prepared?

Shalom,

I discovered your blog through Google Alerts when I was researching more on "Messiah". Your topic is exactly what my book is about. I was wondering if you'd do me the honors and check out my website and blog.

Website: http://www.messiahiscoming.net
Blog: http://www.authorperryennis.blogspot.com

I thought you might be interested in purchasing my book called, "Prepare for the Coming of Messiah". You can read more about it on the reviews, endorsements, and through my video.

I teach and minister at Congregation Beth Yahshua (House of Jesus) in Greenville, NC. I’ve been given a mandate by our Creator to be a watchman on the wall for our final generation—an honored position to spread God’s word while the foundations of our society are quickly shifting. I passionately warns others of the catastrophic events that are coming to planet earth, but yet we have so many blessings and I’m left with an uplifting hope. I’m so thankful for the restoration—all those who believe in Jesus Christ as their savor.

This is what some of my followers are saying about my book:

“This book is solidly based on the Bible, and Perry has filled the pages not only with a deeper understanding of the mysteries of these end times, but also a comprehensive and compelling overview of God's entire redemptive plan for His people. I have never read one single book that answered SO many of my questions, and finally cleared up so many of the things in Scripture that had remained a mystery to me.” >Kelly Ferrari, Door Keeper Ministries<

"Prepare for the Coming of Messiah" is indispensable to the library of those seriously seeking a deeper walk with our Lord Yahshua. Highly recommended!" >Rhonda Kendle, Spokane, Washington<

I’ve spent 26 years of collaborated research of the prophets. I’m proud to share the messages and deep in my heart is a burning passion for ALL those to read, “Prepare for the Coming of Messiah”. Through his latest book called, “Prepare for the Coming of Messiah”. You will gain the message of love, restoration, warning, and hope, a theme you will never tire to read over and over again.

If you know of others who would benefit from this book, please pass on this information. I'd much appreciate your extra servant duties.

“This is a must have end-of days book! Perry Ennis has a critical message for these end-times when the clock is tick-tick-ticking. Ennis gives a thorough breakdown of prophecies that help piece together and make sense of often difficult to understand Revelation prophesy. He gives excellent teachings on our Hebraic roots and the pertinent significance of Holy feast days such as Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Pentecost, to name a few.” >Rhonda Kendle, Spokane, Washington<

God bless;

Perry Ennis
Expert in Prophetic Analysis
Inspirational Author of “PREPARE for the Coming of MESSIAH”
http://www.messiahiscoming.net

Please follow me on twitter: http://twitter.com/messiahiscoming

Direct Purchase Link: http://astore.amazon.com/premiumpromotionalservices-20/detail/0979688736Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6536854065433425156.post-79249377726835550142009-06-09T12:04:30.373-07:002009-06-09T12:04:30.373-07:00Reading Ex 3:2-4, I would conclude that the angel ...Reading Ex 3:2-4, I would conclude that the angel of YHWH is to be equated with God itself/himself, namely with YHWH.Jim Deardorffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04517653430586348063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6536854065433425156.post-36728155143161572982009-06-09T10:57:06.027-07:002009-06-09T10:57:06.027-07:00Note that, to resolve a crisis centered in Antioch...Note that, to resolve a crisis centered in Antioch over whether Gentile followers of Jesus need to obey Mosaic Law, James is pictured by Luke in Acts 15:15-18 as invoking Amos 9:11-12--with it interpreted to mean that Jesus is the fallen tent of David who has arisen. If there is any historicity to this, it strongly suggests that (1) the followers of Jesus took this passage to be a proof text that Jesus has arisen from the dead and that (2) the followers of Jesus in Jerusalem and Antioch shared a common Davidic Christology.
They undoubtedly combined it with other Christologies, and one of them might have been a developing angel of Yahweh Christology (although I am more inclined to see a developing Logos/Memra Christology), but it appears that the Davidic Christology was the foundational Christology, going back to Jesus. After all, the wording of the titulus (found, with variations, in all four canonical gospels)clearly implies that Pilate found Jesus guilty of claiming to be the King of the Jews.
Also, we need to take into account the latest issue of JBL, where Matthew V. Novenson thusly concludes his paper, "The Jewish Messiahs, the Pauline Christ, and the Gentile Question" (p. 373), "In fact, these two quintessially Pauline features, the proclamation of a Christos and the mission to the Gentiles, turn out to interpret one another; Paul feels himself compelled to bring Gentiles into the ekklesia of God because he believes that Jesus is the root of Jesse, the son of David, the Christos who rises to rule the Gentiles."
Because Paul apparently became the chief missionary of the Antioch group, this suggests that the outreach to Gentiles there was fundamentally driven by a Davidic Christology.
Frank McCoy
BA History Univ of MNFrank McCoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16977985447972987579noreply@blogger.com
