Apocryphote of the Day: 7-7-08

Matthew said, "Tell me Lord, how the dead die and how the living live."
The Lord said, "I say to you, when what invigorates a person is removed, that person will be called 'dead.' And when what is alive leaves what is dead, what is alive will be called upon."

Dialogue of the Savior 56-57

Clearly the idea of "what invigorates a person" had its origin in Judaism. It was the pre-existing created person's spirit breathed into a body that animated that body. Remove the spirit and the body died.
