Coptic literatureOn Sunday the 14th, they are planning an all-day public event at the Coptic Patriarchate, with lectures and discussions for all Congress members. Announcement of Ninth International Congress of Coptic Studies
I received today the preliminary notice for the Ninth International Congress of Coptic Studies. It is scheduled later in the year than I had expected. It will take place in Cairo (wow!) September 15-19, 2008. Morning sessions will be held for papers in these selected subfields:

This congress sounds absolutely fascinating. I have accelerated my studies in Coptic literature, etc., as of late. If I find I cannot go (due to lack of funds, etc.), I would still like a full report!
